Steve Graham’s professional career spans more than thirty years as an executive, entrepreneur and trusted business advisor to presidents, CEO’s and business owners. His background and experience includes business start-up, strategic planning, organizational development & design, business planning, training design and implementation (operations and management development), executive and management coaching, international human resources, change management, recruiting, succession planning and international compensation & benefits. His experience as a business owner and shareholder provide him with broad exposure to the vast array of challenges, opportunities, issues and problems that top executives and entrepreneurs face.

Steve is also President of The Oval Group LLC, a human resources consulting firm in Richmond.  Since leaving the corporate world eight years ago, Steve has focused on helping small and medium-sized businesses prosper by avoiding the pitfalls the corporate world has already uncovered. 

Steve was looking for something that would compliment his human resources consulting work and allow him to leverage his extensive business background. “I looked into executive business advisory opportunities and was immediately drawn to The Alternative Board® (TAB),” says Steve. “TAB provided me with an opportunity to use the skills I’d developed in the corporate world and in my consulting practice and apply those not only to my own business, but to supporting other Richmond area business owners.”

Steve received his MBA master’s in business administration, majoring in organizational behavior and marketing, from York University in Toronto, his BEd bachelor of education from the University of Western Ontario in London and a BFA Bachelor of Fine Arts in theater & television from York University.

He is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management and American Mensa.
